Dr. Akmal Ahmed, DDS
General, cosmetic and implant dentistry
Dr. Ahmed has practised in Connecticut and Central Florida and completed continuing education in cosmetic dentistry and implant reconstruction. He was awarded Fellow status by the International Congress of Oral Implantologists in 2007, and he treats adults and children in the same Lake Mary practice.

What are your office hours?
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 9:00 AM–8:00 PM, Wednesday 10:00 AM–5:00 PM, and Friday 8:00 AM–1:00 PM. Please call to confirm weekend and holiday availability before you travel.
Do you help with dental insurance?
We help patients submit dental-benefit paperwork for PPO plans and will review your plan with you before treatment so the estimate is clear. Please bring your insurance details to your first visit, and confirm your specific plan with our team when you call.
What if I do not have dental insurance?
You are still welcome. We accept cash, checks, major credit cards and CareCredit financing, and we will explain the fee for each step before treatment begins.
Do you treat children?
Yes. Dr. Ahmed is a general dentist who cares for children as well as adults, including exams, cleanings, sealants and prevention. If your child needs specialist pediatric or orthodontic care, we will tell you and help you find the right practitioner.
