Teeth Whitening Lake Mary, FL
Whitening is simple, but it is not one-size-fits-all. The shade you reach depends on your teeth, your restorations and how your gums respond.
Professional whitening uses a peroxide gel to lighten the colour of natural teeth. It does not change the colour of crowns, veneers or fillings, which is why we check your restorations first. We offer supervised whitening so that sensitivity and gum irritation are managed rather than discovered halfway through.
Who this is for
- Adults with healthy teeth and gums who want a lighter shade
- Patients preparing for a wedding, interview or other event
- People who have tried shop-bought kits without a predictable result
- Patients with an uneven match between natural teeth and older restorations
Teeth Whitening Lake Mary – What the Visit Involves
- A check that teeth and gums are healthy enough to whiten
- A conversation about the shade you want and what is realistic
- In-office application or custom take-home trays, depending on your preference
- Written instructions, including what to avoid for the first few days
Options we may discuss
In-office whitening – Teeth Whitening Lake Mary
A stronger gel applied under supervision, usually in one appointment.
Custom take-home trays
A slower, more controllable option for patients who prefer it.
Combination
In-office treatment followed by top-up trays at home.
Restorative alternative
For teeth where colour comes from inside the tooth, not the surface.
What affects the cost
The fee depends on which method you choose and how many appointments it takes. We quote before starting, and we will tell you if a crown or filling needs replacing instead of whitening to fix the colour difference.
Aftercare and maintenance
Avoid heavily staining drinks and foods for a short period after treatment, and expect some sensitivity, which usually settles. Results are not permanent; coffee, tea and time will gradually deepen the colour again.
Teeth Whitening: common questions
Will whitening damage my enamel?
Dentist-supervised whitening with appropriate gels and trays does not remove enamel. Overuse of strong products, or unregulated kits, can cause prolonged sensitivity and gum irritation.
How white will my teeth get?
No one can promise a specific shade. The starting colour, the type of staining and your tooth structure all affect the result. Most patients see a noticeable change, and some need a second round.
Will my crowns change colour?
No. Ceramic and composite restorations do not whiten. If a crown is much darker than the surrounding teeth, replacing it may be the better answer.
Is it safe if I am pregnant?
Please tell us. Elective whitening is usually postponed during pregnancy and while breastfeeding, and we will discuss the reasons with you.
