Invisalign Lake Mary, FL

Clear aligners can straighten many cases of crowding and spacing, but they need a diagnosis, a plan and someone monitoring the teeth while they move.

Invisalign uses a series of removable clear aligners to move teeth gradually. It suits some cases very well and not others: severe crowding, bite problems and teeth that need rotating can be more predictable with fixed braces. The only way to know which applies to you is an examination with X-rays and a scan or impressions.

Who this is for

  • Mild to moderate crowding or spacing in the front teeth
  • Adults who want a less visible option than braces
  • Patients willing to wear aligners for the hours required each day
  • People who have had orthodontics before and want a small correction

Invisalign Lake Mary – What the Visit Involves

  • Examination, X-rays and a discussion about the bite, not just the front teeth
  • A scan or impressions and a plan showing the expected movement
  • Fitting of the first aligners with instructions on wear and cleaning
  • Short review appointments to check progress and deliver the next sets
  • Retention afterwards, because teeth move back without it

Options we may discuss

Invisalign Lake Mary

Clear removable aligners, changed on a schedule set by your dentist.

Fixed braces

Sometimes more predictable for complex movements.

Limited cosmetic alignment

Small corrections before veneers or bonding.

Retainers

Fixed or removable, to hold the result after treatment.

What affects the cost

Fees depend on the complexity of the case and the number of aligners. Quoted treatment includes the plan, the aligners and reviews, and we explain what is not included. Some dental plans contribute towards orthodontic treatment; we will help check what your plan allows.

Aftercare and maintenance

Retention is not optional. Without a retainer, teeth drift back over time. We discuss the retainer type and the replacement cost before treatment starts so there are no surprises later.

Fees: every plan is quoted in writing before treatment begins. If you have PPO dental benefits, we help submit the paperwork so your estimate reflects your plan.

Invisalign: common questions

How long does Invisalign take?

It varies with the amount of movement. Minor corrections can take a few months; more involved cases take longer. You will get an estimate after the plan is prepared, and we will tell you if the estimate changes.

Is Invisalign painful?

Most people feel pressure and tenderness for a day or two after each new aligner, rather than pain. It usually settles as the teeth adapt.

Can I eat with aligners in?

No. Remove them to eat and drink anything other than water, and clean your teeth before putting them back.

Is Invisalign suitable for teenagers?

It can be, when the patient is responsible enough to wear the aligners as instructed. We will assess the teeth and the bite and explain whether aligners or braces are the better option.
